rest here

Interesting event, definitely one that I am glad I was able to go to. However, I couldn’t help cursing whomever was in charge of the lighting at this venue. Don’t get me wrong general public, this is one of my favorite spots in BK in terms of atmosphere. The concept of the space is an interesting one (Glasslands website) with its ever changing art installations, there is always something to look at. I can’t help but connect the space, mentally, to my tree house (its a good thing). But the lighting, O.M.G. THE LIGHTING! Its is godawful for 1) a photographer, 2) a photographer that prefers no flash, and 3) a photographer whose external flash has not been repaired.  Way too often I found myself thinking “Even if I had all the Nikon lenes my heart desired, these photos would be utter and completely indistinguishable”. Sadly though, I understand why Glasslands is in this predicament; it is an art space, period.

Can’t win them all, eh?
